Serve the City Berlin began in Brussels in 2005 and since then it has grown to a global movement which is present in more than 80 cities around the world and Berlin is one of them. Berlin has been known throughout time as a multicultural city and Serve the City Berlin is no different. We started Serve the City Berlin in 2011 and since then we love to serve with our volunteers and are always happy to welcome new faces to be part of our movement.

We partner with local non-profit organizations and set up different projects around Berlin so that everybody has the opportunity to get involved in serving marginalized people in our society. With our projects, we let our volunteers share their time, stories and talents to make others happy.

Serve the City Berlin follows 5 values which we consider are important at the time we are serving those in need:

  • compassion
  • respect
  • courage
  • humility
  • hope

Our main project is the “Aktionstag” which takes place one Saturday per month and consists of 4-6 projects dedicated to different NGOs around the city. Besides, we have our Bäckerbus on tuesdays where we pick up goods from Bakeries at the end of the day and deliver them to some of the NGOs that we support. On the saturdays where there is no Aktionstag we go to a few Refugee tents in Berlin and organize a few activities to spend some time with them. Additionally we plan a few events and other projects throughout the year which we promote in our social media accounts and website.

If you would like to take part in one of our projects or would like to get more information about who we are, what we do or who we help, you can register on our website with the following link:
